     Poi (kalo) is the food staple that is sacred to the Hawaiian people. It is the ‘glue’ that keeps the spirit together and moving forward in unison. Legends have the first Hawaiian being sprouted from a kalo plant.

 

     So are the spirited tunes of the Kanaka Swing Band, starting with Ne’ene’e Mai a Pili…snuggling up together, melding Hawaiian tunes with swing music in a single released on Valentine’s Day!
